This console does NOT read discs at all, and it won’t play games because of it. The reason is actually NOT because of the laser. The laser works fine, and the motor works fine. The problem is actually one of the cog wheels has chipped teeth, which causes the laser assembly to not fully move up and down the track. I can’t get a replacement piece, so I just have to sell the console as is.
